The Role
As a Barista at Parliament Café, you’ll help create genuine, welcoming moments for every guest who walks through our doors. You’ll prepare and serve excellent coffee and food, represent our values, and contribute to a workplace where teamwork, care, and pride in the craft come first.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, thoughtful service that consistently exceeds guest expectations
- Prepare coffee and food items with accuracy and care, following Parliament Cafe quality standards
- Share our story, including our commitment to ethical standards, sustainability, and community connection
- Keep the café clean, organized, and inviting at all times
- Work closely with teammates, communicating clearly and supporting one another during each shift
- Demonstrate Parliament Café’s values through everyday actions and interactions
- Show reliability, professionalism, and respect in all aspects of the role

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift, including bending, twisting, and lifting up to 20 kg
- Regular use of espresso machines, point-of-sale systems, and café equipment
- Clear verbal communication and strong attention to detail
- Ability to recognize, describe, and discuss flavours and aromas accurately

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
