We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with a keen eye for detail and design. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning cakes that meet customer specifications while ensuring high-quality standards in food preparation and handling. Duties
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer requests and specifications, ensuring creativity and attention to detail.
- Prepare various cake batters, icings, and fillings, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders in a timely manner while maintaining quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies needed for cake decorating and food preparation.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers regarding cake designs, flavors, and special requests.
Experience
- Previous experience in cake decorating or a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen operations.
- Strong background in baking is advantageous; knowledge of various baking methods is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- A creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics; experience in restaurant or culinary settings is beneficial.
