We're looking for a Brewer / Production Team Member who is passionate about brewing, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in producing consistently excellent beer. This is a hands-on position offering exposure to every aspect of brewery operations - from grain to glass.
About the Role
No two days at OGC are exactly alike. As part of our production team, you'll play an active role in every stage of brewing and cellar operations while helping ensure our beers consistently meet the quality our customers expect.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating the brewhouse, including milling, mashing, lautering, boiling and whirlpool operations.
- Monitoring fermentation performance, yeast health and overall beer quality throughout production.
- Performing cellar work including transfers, dry hopping, carbonation, clarification and brite tank preparation.
- Conducting thorough CIP and sanitation of brewery vessels and equipment.
- Packaging beer into kegs and supporting canning operations as required.
- Maintaining accurate brewing records, inventory and production documentation.
- Receiving and organizing raw materials while maintaining a clean and efficient brewery.
- Operating pallet-jacks and safely handling bulk ingredients and finished product.
- Assisting with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous process improvements.
- Supporting quality assurance through analytical testing and sensory evaluation.
- Working collaboratively across brewing, packaging and taproom teams to ensure production goals are met.
Who You Are
You're someone who enjoys working with your hands, takes ownership of your work, and understands that consistency comes from paying attention to the smallest details.
Ideal qualifications include:
- 1–3 years of commercial brewing or beverage production experience.
- A solid understanding of brewing science, fermentation and cellar operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience are considered strong assets.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, physically demanding position that includes:
- Lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Standing for extended periods
- Working in hot, cold and wet environments
- Climbing stairs and ladders
