What You'll Do
As the first point of contact for our Service Department, you'll play a key role in creating a positive ownership experience for every customer. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers professionally and building lasting relationships based on trust.
- Scheduling service appointments efficiently to maximize shop productivity.
- Listening carefully to customer concerns and accurately documenting repair requests.
- Preparing detailed repair orders and ensuring all required information is complete.
- Coordinating daily workflow between customers, technicians, and the Parts Department to ensure repairs are completed on time.
- Dispatching work to technicians while maintaining an efficient shop schedule.
- Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process with timely updates.
- Recommending maintenance and repairs that provide the best value while educating customers on vehicle care.
- Reviewing completed repairs with customers and explaining work performed in a clear, professional manner.
- Answering incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Utilizing our Dealer Management System (PBS) to schedule appointments, maintain vehicle history, prepare estimates, and process repair orders.
- Taking ownership of customer concerns and ensuring every guest leaves with an exceptional service experience.
- Working closely with all dealership departments to support a positive team environment and achieve department goals.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years of Service Advisor experience in an automotive dealership.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to recommend and sell maintenance and repair services with honesty and integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn dealership software.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be part of a collaborative team.
- Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes is considered a strong asset.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience would be considered an asset:
- Previous Ford dealership experience.
- Experience using the PBS Dealer Management System.
- Knowledge of Ford maintenance schedules, warranty procedures, and products.
