Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, supporting landscape projects, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment such as excavators for landscaping projects
- Install irrigation systems and perform routine irrigation maintenance
- Prepare soil, lay sod, and perform grading tasks to ensure proper drainage and landscape aesthetics
- Support construction activities related to landscape features such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all landscaping activities
- Assist in site cleanup and debris removal to maintain a clean work environment
Experience
- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment operation
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with excavation equipment such as excavators is advantageous
- Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair is desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction principles related to landscape projects is beneficial
