Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for hospitality. The Server will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences while supporting the overall operations of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up and cleaning tables, ensuring a clean dining area
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy hours
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions and resolving concerns professionally
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or service as needed
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing payments accurately
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality standards is advantageous
