Are you passionate about aquatics and creating great guest experiences? The TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC) is looking for part-time Lifeguard/Aquatics Instructors to support our amazing Aquatics team and keep our pool running smoothly, safely, and with plenty of TLC spirit!
Lifeguard/Aquatics Instructors (part-time)
Lifeguard/Aquatics Instructors ensure the overall quality of our customers’ experience at the TLC aquatics centre. The primary responsibilities of the Lifeguards and Aquatic Instructors are to instruct and lifeguard a variety of programs. As Lifeguards and Aquatic Instructors you are required to ensure the safety of patrons at all times through education and if necessary, perform rescues and first-aid as required. In addition, Aquatic Instructors are required to teach all levels of the Lifesaving Swim for Life programs to a wide range of patrons, which includes planning for each lesson and evaluating students’ progress using continuous evaluation. The Lifeguards and Aquatic Instructors are also responsible to maintain the facility to a high standard of cleanliness, performing routine maintenance and janitorial functions when not on guarding on deck or instructing in the pool.
Successful candidates will have current NL, O2, IFA and Swim Instructor (Swim for Life) certifications. If you have exceptional customer service skills, and excellent solution-finding skills, consider applying today!
Evidence of certifications, as well as eligibility for a clear criminal and vulnerable sector check prior to start of work is a condition of employment. Shift work is required, including evenings and weekends.
Wage Range: $21.94 to $26.11/hour
