Our Journeyperson Welders support repairs and fabrications across a wide range of equipment and work hands-on with industry-leading machines alongside a team that knows quality matters. This posting is open to both Journeyperson and 3rd Year Apprentice Welders.
Base Wage - Journeyperson: $52.31. Additional premiums apply.
Base Wage - 3rd Year Apprentice: $36.62 - $39.23. Additional premiums apply.
Location: Elkford, BC.
Shift Rotation: 7x7 or 14x14
What You’ll Do
- Performing repairs and fabrications on various makes and models of equipment.
- Working from layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
- Customizing mobile equipment or components based on customer needs.
- Supporting failure analysis and welding repair strategies alongside the Service Manager.
- Delivering safe, effective welding services in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a Journeyperson Welder or 3rd year apprentice. Additional requirements include:
- Highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to interpret blueprints and layouts/follow work orders
- Must possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence and have acute safety awareness as well as strong organizational skills
- Must have effective interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy while working with a variety of individuals and groups
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of mining equipment
- Valid Class 5/G drivers license
