The Zone Training is seeking an experienced and dependable Ice Technician to maintain high-quality ice surfaces for our training facility. This is a flexible, part-time position with hours scheduled around our ice programming.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular ice maintenance on Rink 1 twice per week.
- Perform ice maintenance on Rink 2 once every two weeks.
- Operate a Zamboni or Olympia ice resurfacer to maintain safe, high-quality ice conditions.
- Operate an ice edger and other ice maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Edge, repair, and maintain ice surfaces to ensure consistent quality.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all facility safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining indoor ice surfaces.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating an ice edger or similar equipment.
- Experience operating a Zamboni or Olympia ice resurfacer is required.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule based on facility needs.
Schedule:
- Flexible hours based on The Zone Training's ice schedule.
- Regular maintenance on Rink 1 twice per week and Rink 2 once every two weeks.
