CNC Machinist to join our client! As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in producing high-quality parts that meet customer specifications with precision and consistency. Shift – Steady Afternoon
Wage - $24.00-$34.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining processes using machining principles and shop math.
- Inspect finished parts and verify accuracy using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, Vernier instruments, scales, and gauges.
- Operate CNC controllers by loading, evaluating, and running machining programs based on machine capabilities and parameters.
- Update machining programs with required additions, deletions, and modifications provided by the CAM team.
- Select appropriate machines and manufacture both custom and production steel-fabricated components while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of machining experience, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program and trade certification is considered an asset.
- Experience operating cranes, slings, hoists, and Heidenhain controllers on boring mill machines is preferred.
- Strong blueprint-reading skills, basic GD&T knowledge, attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and legal authorization to work in Canada.
