Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Shift Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and cooking equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. This role is essential in supporting our restaurant's operations and providing a positive experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas throughout the shift.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including handling food items safely and following proper food handling procedures.
- Support the kitchen staff by ensuring all necessary clean dishes and utensils are available for meal service.
- Follow health and safety regulations to uphold sanitation standards in compliance with local health codes.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a tidy work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during the day shift.
- Help cooks with delivery's when they arrive.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or dishwashing in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling, and safety standards is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with physical stamina.
