Paskal Cattle Corporation is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team in Iron Springs, Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately.
- Manage commodity and cattle contracts including scheduling.
- Perform data entry related to financial transactions with precision and timelines.
- Support account analysis and budgeting activities to assist in financial planning efforts.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance with organizational policies.
Skills
- 2–3 years of experience in the feedlot industry.
- Experience with grain and cattle contracts and deliveries.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, Google Workplace and feedlot management systems.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Experience with account reconciliation and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to analyze accounts and perform detailed account analysis.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across teams and departments. This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the organization’s fiscal health through precise accounting practices.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
