Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our warehouse associate The ideal candidate will complete various tasks including order picking, shipping and receiving, equipment operations, forklift operations. Experience with warehouse systems, The successful candidate will ensure efficient warehouse distribution and maintain safety standards.
Duties
- Assist with order picking and load & unloading trucks.
- Operate equipment including forklifts, tractors moffett safely and efficiently
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying inventory and managing documentation within warehouse management systems
- Help coordinate warehouse activities related to construction, heavy lifting, and material handling
- Maintain organization of warehouse space, ensuring safety protocols are followed during equipment operation
- Support inventory management through accurate stock counting and record keeping
- Assist in the training of new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields
- experience operating forklifts is an asset but training is available
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picker technology
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience in construction or industrial environments is a plus
- Prior experience with load & unload procedures and warehouse organization is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety compliance
