Adventure Guide (Part-Time) – Afternoon & Evening Shifts
Location: Canmore & Banff, AB
Hours: 12–25 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Afternoon & Evening Shifts
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Adventure Guide to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, leading groups, and creating memorable experiences for guests. The position offers part-time hours with the potential to transition into a full-time guiding role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage groups during guided outdoor adventures and activities.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
- Provide clear instructions, safety briefings, and support to participants.
- Monitor group dynamics and adapt activities to meet participant needs.
- Represent the company professionally and uphold safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous guiding experience or strong group management/leadership experience required.
- Preferred certifications:
- IGA (Interpretive Guides Association)
- ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides)
- OCC (Outdoor Council of Canada)
- Other relevant outdoor leadership certifications
- Valid Standard or Intermediate First Aid certification required.
- CPR-C certification required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must have accommodation in either Banff or Canmore.
- Reliable personal vehicle required for transportation to activities and work locations.
- Must be available for afternoon and evening shifts Monday through Friday.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
