Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to build a career in dealership accounting, with strong opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Post manufacturer invoices for new vehicles
- Post manufacturer warranty payments
- Post manufacturer ECP payments
- Reconcile manufacturer and vendor statements
- Support Senior Accounting Clerks with various accounting duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
- May be required to work beyond scheduled hours, including occasional Saturdays, based on business needs and deadlines
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask across multiple OEMs/dealerships
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong initiative and willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum of a 2-year diploma or certificate from an accredited college or university
- Dealership accounting experience is considered an asset, but not required
