Job Overview
Bellstone Family Medical Clinic is a new family medical clinic opening in Edmonton, Alberta. We are hiring Family Physicians to provide comprehensive primary care services in a modern, supportive and patient-focused environment.
This opportunity is available on a full-time, part-time or flexible basis. Physicians will have the opportunity to build a patient panel and contribute to the development of the clinic as it grows.
The proposed compensation arrangement is a 70/30 billing split, with the physician retaining 70% of billings and the clinic retaining 30% for administrative, operational and clinic support.
Responsibilities
- Provide family medicine and primary care services to patients of various ages
- Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct patient consultations, medical histories and physical examinations
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and provide ongoing follow-up care
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, referrals and other clinical services as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, complete and timely electronic medical records
- Educate patients about disease prevention, treatment options and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate respectfully with clinic administration, support staff and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to a compassionate, professional and patient-centred clinic environment
- Support the clinic’s growth and development as the patient population expands
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible to practise medicine in Alberta
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta
- Certification in family medicine or qualifications acceptable for family practice in Alberta
- Family medicine, general practice or primary care experience is preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to practise independently and professionally in a community clinic setting
- Commitment to providing respectful, ethical and high-quality patient care
International Medical Graduates who meet or are actively completing Alberta licensing requirements are welcome to apply.
