Annual Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 based on 30 hours per week

The Opportunity
Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for using design and digital communications to make a meaningful difference? KidsAbility Foundation is seeking a talented Digital Communications and Visual Design Specialist to bring our fundraising, donor engagement, events, and community outreach initiatives to life through compelling visual content and strategic digital communications.
Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will play a key role in how KidsAbility Foundation connects with donors, supporters, and the broader community. Through graphic design, video production, digital marketing, social media storytelling, and website management, you will create engaging experiences that amplify our mission and strengthen our brand.
As a member of the Foundation’s team, you will develop and deliver integrated communications campaigns across various channels. Combining creativity with strategic thinking, you will leverage expertise in visual design, social media management, website administration, search engine optimization (SEO), and analytics to enhance audience engagement and drive measurable results.
In this role, you will help build awareness, inspire support, and strengthen relationships with donors and community partners. Your work will directly contribute to fundraising success, donor stewardship, events, and community engagement initiatives that help children and youth reach their full potential.
What You Bring

Diploma or degree in Marketing and Communications, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field

Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in marketing, visual design and digital communications, preferably in a non-profit or purpose-driven organization[DC1]

Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar), Hootsuite, WordPress, and social platforms

Experience creating and editing video content for digital platforms and managing websites, designing for email marketing platforms, intranet, and social media management tools

Experience monitoring and interpreting digital analytics

Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles (AODA compliance) for web, video, and social media

Ability to collaboratively monitor social media channels and provide event-related coverage outside of standard business hours (evenings/weekends as needed) on a scheduled or rotational basis

Strong visual storyteller with a high attention to detail

Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Confident working in a hands-on, execution-focused role

Adaptable, and ready to work collaboratively with a small but mighty team
