Job Summary
Kabir Family Foundation is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to assist youth, particularly newcomer youth, in accessing essential social, educational, and financial literacy resources. This role focuses on helping youth successfully integrate into Canadian society while building confidence, independence, and long-term stability.
The ideal candidate is patient, organized, supportive, and passionate about making a positive impact within the community.
Responsibilities
-Conduct intake assessments and review client information to identify youth needs
-Assist newcomer youth with accessing educational, employment, and settlement resources
-Help youth navigate community services and government programs
-Provide basic financial literacy guidance, including budgeting and banking support
-Support workshops focused on life skills, career readiness, and financial literacy
-Coordinate with schools, community agencies, and volunteers to support youth programs
-Maintain accurate client records and track participant progress
-Provide mentorship, emotional support, and encouragement to youth participants
-Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Requirements
-Experience in youth work, community support, settlement services, or related fields preferred
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Compassionate, patient, and reliable
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Experience working with newcomer youth is an asset
-Additional language skills are considered an asset

Pay: $17.86-$18.00 per hour
