Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Hands-On Plant Maintenance Supervisor to lead our industrial maintenance team, in our 5/24 facilty. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance operations across manufacturing facilities, ensuring all equipment and systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance projects, and foster a culture of safety and excellence. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Lead and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety standards and budget constraints.
- Manage the maintenance team’s schedules, training, performance evaluations, and development to optimize productivity.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history for all assets.
- Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and control system diagrams such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues accurately.
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of HVAC systems, low voltage electrical wiring, and industrial machinery to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with production teams to plan downtime for equipment upgrades or repairs with minimal impact on operations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities, safety procedures, and compliance records.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience (10 years) in industrial or manufacturing environments with a strong background in supervising maintenance teams.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Solid mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to industrial systems such as HVAC units, motor control, low voltage wiring, and control panels.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and CMMS software is essential.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate teams and liaise across departments.
- Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance including troubleshooting mechanical failures and electrical issues.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial environments including OSHA regulations is preferred.
