Detailed job duties
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Grade and label wood products according to quality standards
- Measure lumber to ensure specified thickness, length and width
- Examine lumber visually for knots, holes, splits and other defects
- Measure wood products to ensure conformance to specifications
- Mark defects to be repaired
- Sort lumber for further drying, trimming or remanufacturing
- Maintain and complete inspection and grading reports
Skills and experience
- Reliable
- Minimum of two years experience grading various lumbers
- Quality oriented, Client Focused
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong basic math skills
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under tight time constraints
- Excellent oral communication
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Lumber Grader Certificate

Transportation/Travel Information
- Must have own vehicle (no public transportation close to the mill)

Work Site Environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$36.65 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
