Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Occupational Health and Safety team in Saskatoon, SK. Reporting to the Team Leader, this replacement role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Role Overview
As a Project Technologist with Pinchin’s Hazardous Materials, Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and occupational health and safety team, you will play an important role in helping clients create safer, healthier, and higher-performing buildings and the work activities within. You will support projects involving mould and water damage, indoor air quality, radon, fire and smoke damage, infection control, and hazardous materials and occupational health and safety assessments across a variety of sectors.
This role combines field work, technical problem solving, client communication, and project coordination. Your day-to-day work will be a mix of time spent at client sites performing investigations, inspections, and environmental sampling, along with office reporting where you analyze findings, interpret results, and prepare clear technical reports and recommendations for clients.
You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and senior technical staff to investigate environmental concerns, collect and interpret data, and provide practical recommendations that help clients protect occupants, restore buildings, and manage risk.

Your role and Action:
- Complete assessments of mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), designated substances, hazardous materials, and other occupational health and safety concerns.
- Conduct worker exposure monitoring and occupational hygiene assessments at a variety of client sites across the province.
- Interview clients, review building history, and investigate site-specific concerns related to indoor environments and workplace conditions.
- Perform inspections, evaluate building systems, and assess damage related to floods, water losses, smoke, and fire.
- Support clients following flood and loss emergencies by helping coordinate drying, cleaning, remediation, and return-to-operation activities.
- Collect air and bulk samples, including mould, asbestos, lead, dust, bacteria, and other environmental samples as required.
- Assist with health and safety documentation, including exposure control plans, programs, policies, and safe work procedures such as confined space, fall protection, and respiratory protection.
- Inspect remediation and restoration work, interpret laboratory results, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
What you bring to the Pinchin:
- College diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent; a post-graduate environmental management certificate is an asset.
- 1-2 years of consulting industry experience preferred.
- Experience with building construction or maintenance is an asset, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong organization, and high attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle required, with availability to travel to client sites and work occasionally evenings and weekends.
