Position Summary
Reporting to the Care Coordinator or Supervisor, the Caregiver will provide compassionate, client-centered care while promoting each client's independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
This position requires transporting clients to medical appointments, errands, and community outings.
Applicants must have a reliable vehicle and a valid Alberta driver's licence.
Job Details
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: 3 days per week
Hours: 6 hours per day
Location: Edmonton and surrounding areas
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist with mobility, companionship, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Safely transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities.
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow individualized care plans and company policies.
- Promote client dignity, privacy, safety, and independence at all times.
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate or relevant caregiving experience preferred.
- Minimum of two (3) years of experience providing home care or community-based caregiving services is required.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence.
- Reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Current First Aid & CPR certification is required.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
