What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead the charge in analyzing costs and preparing take-offs for Multi-storey Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Mechanical projects, with a heavy emphasis on piping trades.
- Precision Estimating: Analyze front-end documents, instructions to bidders, and tender forms to ensure 100% compliance on every submission.
- System Expertise: Take off mechanical systems and work closely with the Owner to produce thorough, complete estimates including materials, labour, and equipment.
- Strategic Sourcing: Solicit and coordinate price packages with subcontractors and vendors; maintain a current directory of trusted partners.
- Project Lifecycle: Participate in site reviews, tender hand-offs, and project closeouts to ensure a seamless transition from bid to build.
- Innovation: Keep us on the cutting edge by recommending alternatives and cost-saving solutions through design-build/assist budget developments.
- Professionalism: Maintain a strong industry presence to ensure a steady pipeline of work for our crews.
What We’re Looking For
We need a "Legend"—someone who brings an "A-game" attitude, has the grit to handle complex tenders, and thrives in a process-driven environment.
- Experience: 1–3 years of Estimating or Design experience in the Mechanical industry.
- Certification: BC Plumbing Trade Certificate or Red Seal; Mechanical Engineering Technologist (MET) is a major plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced computer skills and proficiency with modern estimating technology.
- Mindset: Highly organized, motivated, and a problem-solver who can communicate effectively with owners and architects.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to various sites for walks and reviews when required.

EDUCATION
