Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Part-Time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing excellent administrative support within a busy Physiotherapy Clinic The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, front desk operations, and office procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, supporting both patient care and administrative functions.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures using electronic medical records
- Verify patient information, update records, and ensure data accuracy within EMR platforms
- Collect insurance information, process payments, and handle billing as needed
- Prepare patient charts and documentation for appointments or procedures
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
- Strong office experience including front desk duties and administrative support
- Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working in medical offices is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in patient interactions
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
