Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team and drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Design and optimize data models and databases, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis using SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL databases.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis utilizing Excel, R, Python, VBA, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to identify trends and insights.
- Support Agile project management practices by participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions.
- Perform software development lifecycle (SDLC) analysis for analytics projects to ensure quality control and effective deployment of solutions.
- Utilize technical proficiency in tools such as Talend, Bash (Unix shell scripting), Visio, and Linked Data techniques to enhance data integration and visualization capabilities.
- Lead dashboard development efforts by creating interactive visualizations that communicate complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
- Manage query optimization and report management tasks to ensure accurate and timely information delivery across teams.
- Engage in continuous learning of emerging analytics trends and tools to improve business intelligence offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst with a strong background in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL query writing, database design, and management of SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools for data integration tasks.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python for advanced data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile frameworks for project execution.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts including dashboard development, reporting strategies, and linked data techniques.
- Experience working with analysis skills to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively through documentation using Visio or similar diagramming tools.
- Prior involvement in software development lifecycle analysis within analytics projects is highly desirable.
