Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Support & Systems Solutions (HRBSSS), the Program Assistant provides administrative and transactional support to employees, managers, and HR teams across a variety of HR processes and services. The role is responsible for preparing employment-related documentation, including offer letters and amendments; assessing and processing employee recognition and service-related requests; and responding to inquiries related to experience, portability, transfers, in-scope compensation adjustments, and other HR matters. The Program Assistant also supports managers and HR Shared Services with operational activities such as start-date changes, e-People and Recruitment Management System (RMS) support, processing inquiries, and routine reporting. Working within established procedures and service standards, the position helps ensure accurate, timely, and consistent delivery of HR services. NOTE: This position is based in Edmonton and requires regular in-office presence. Eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office) may be considered upon successful completion of probation! We are hiring for two positions. This position is non-unionized.

Required Qualifications:
Experience providing administrative, customer service or human resources support within a professional environment. Equivalencies in education and experience may be considered. Recent graduates and individuals seeking to build a career in Human Resources are encouraged to apply.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Visio, as well as SharePoint. Communicates effectively through strong verbal and written communication skills and builds positive working relationships through a collaborative and service-oriented approach. Organizes work effectively, manages competing priorities and maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Applies sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information and demonstrates professionalism in interactions with leaders, employees and stakeholders. Utilizes technology and systems effectively to support administrative, data management and reporting activities, while maintaining a commitment to quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized Human Resources Management Certificate or related post-secondary credential. Experience in administering collective agreements, organizational policies, and relevant legislation in an HR setting. Familiar with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft, applicant tracking, or recruitment management systems. Demonstrated ability to manage information accurately, maintain confidentiality and provide high-quality customer service while supporting multiple priorities.
