Job Title: Construction Laborer
Location: Red Deer, AB
Schedule: Full-time
Our client is seeking a reliable and physically fit Construction Laborer to support construction and industrial operations. The successful candidate will assist with material handling, mixer operations, site support activities, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
What's the Job?
- Add ice to the mixer hopper as part of the production process.
- Safely load and handle materials required for mixer operations.
- Assist with adding sealed bags of silica to the mixer hopper when required.
- Complete respirator fit testing and follow respiratory protection procedures when handling silica materials.
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the worksite.
- Support general construction and site maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing debris and waste materials.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively with the team.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with other labor duties as required.
What's Needed?
- Previous construction, industrial, manufacturing, or general labor experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials.
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment and production areas.
- Willingness to complete respirator fit testing.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction.
- Required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, safety glasses, and gloves.
