Overview
DCM Metal Corp. is seeking a Metal Fabricator to join our team in Etobicoke, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining material requirements, interpreting engineering drawings and instructions, laying out reference points and patterns, assembling and fitting plates and sections, and operating metal-working machinery in a structural metal and platework environment.

Salary: $36.00 to $40.00 hourly, to be negotiated
Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, full time
Schedule: Working hours from 09:00 to 15:00
Start Date: As early as 2026-10-01

Duties
Determine materials required
Interpret engineering drawings and others’ instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation
Lay out reference points and patterns
Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
Construct patterns and templates
Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Use equipment and machinery such as brakes and presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, and CNC machines

Qualifications
Secondary high school graduation certificate
2 years to less than 3 years of experience
English language ability
Experience with structural metal or steel and platework
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Ability to work on site in a noisy and dusty environment
Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
