Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This Job posting is for a cleaner job in a clean and well maintained residential apartment building cleaning common areas of the building. The job hours are 8AM - 1 PM from Monday to Friday OR 8 AM - 12 PM Monday to Saturday.
***In addition to common area cleaning, successful candidate must also be available when required for cleaning apartment units when tenants move out or before new tenants move in.
***Successful Candidate must have reliable personal vehicle for transportation to job site in Edmonton close to Gateway Blvd and 82 Avenue area.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and custodial settings, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment according to established procedures and client requirements.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company policies.
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player when necessary.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Must have own vehicle or reliable transportation in Edmonton and surrounding area (St Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Fort Saskatchewan, etc)
