Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role is essential in supporting the company's financial health through precise bookkeeping and account reconciliation. The successful applicant will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to support budgeting and financial reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Record and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with payroll processing and related accounting activities
- Support budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or related roles
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Ability to perform account analysis and manage account reconciliation processes accurately
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical skills to support budgeting and financial reporting efforts
