Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setup and breakdown of workstations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques within the food industry.
