We are looking for a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in our brand new shop in Langford!
Key Qualifications
· Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal required;
· 5+ years' heavy equipment diagnosis, repairs, maintenance & testing;
· Excavator and Backhoe experience required;
· Dump truck (highway truck) experience strongly preferred;
· Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills;
· Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Key Duties
· Completes equipment diagnostics, maintenance & repairs (excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, trailers, other heavy equipment);
· Works with safety in mind to minimize workplace incidents;
· Works to maximize DME equipment efficiency through pro-active maintenance, maximizing up-time and minimizing down-time.
