Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake and Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting, press brake, and other related equipment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to produce high-quality metal components. Candidates with experience in press brake and laser machining, and quality inspection will excel in this position.
Duties
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines, and press brake machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machinery based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Program CNC equipment for various projects using CNC programming skills.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices for quality inspection and ensuring parts meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards.
- Assist with assembly processes as needed and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Operate cranes or forklifts if necessary for material handling (training provided if needed).
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC lathes, or milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with welding, machining, quality inspection, and assembly processes is a plus.
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, and other measurement instruments accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing equipment operation including cranes and forklifts (training available if needed).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work standards.
