Antoine Property Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on Landscape Construction Foreman to lead a crew and oversee high-quality residential landscape construction projects.
Our work includes interlock patios, driveways, retaining walls, stairs, drainage systems, walkways, landscape features, excavation, and complete outdoor transformations. The ideal candidate can manage a project from layout and excavation through installation and final cleanup while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.
This is a working foreman position. You will be expected to lead by example and work alongside the crew when required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew.
- Organize daily tasks and keep projects on schedule.
- Interpret plans, measurements, elevations, grades, and project specifications.
- Complete accurate layouts and establish proper elevations and drainage slopes.
- Oversee excavation, base preparation, compaction, screeding, cutting, installation, and finishing.
- Construct interlock patios, driveways, walkways, retaining walls, steps, raised beds, drainage systems, and other landscape features.
- Operate excavators, skid steers, mini skid steers, compactors, concrete saws, and other construction equipment.
- Safely tow, maneuver, and back up equipment and dump trailers.
- Coordinate material quantities, deliveries, equipment, and site requirements.
- Inspect work throughout each stage to ensure it meets company standards.
- Train crew members and correct workmanship issues when necessary.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and safe job site.
- Complete daily progress reports, photographs, and material records.
- Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, suppliers, and other trades.
- Identify potential problems, site conditions, or change-order work before proceeding.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly used, inspected, and maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape construction and hardscaping.
- Strong knowledge of patios, driveways, retaining walls, stairs, drainage systems, and landscape features.
- Previous crew-leadership or foreman experience.
- Ability to complete detailed hardscape work accurately with minimal supervision or correction.
- Strong understanding of excavation, grading, drainage, base preparation, compaction, and installation procedures.
- Confident operating heavy equipment and small machinery.
- Proficient with concrete saw operation and precision cutting.
- Experience with masonry, excavation, carpentry, and low-voltage landscape lighting components.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely tow, maneuver, and back up trailers.
- Ability to read drawings, calculate measurements, and estimate material quantities.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to manage changing site conditions.
- Able to lift and carry construction materials and equipment safely.
- Reliable transportation to the company yard or assigned meeting location.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
