Join our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Scooper at Purple Scoops on our Icecream School Bus at the pier in Collingwood! This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers, serve delicious treats, and create memorable experiences. Responsibilities
- Be a trusted keyholder responsible for opening and closing the Purple Scoops bus, managing day-to-day operations independently, providing exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the bus is clean, organized, and ready to welcome guests.
- Serve Kawartha dairy ice cream, popsicles, and drinks (bottled water, pop, etc) with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Assist customers in selecting products, promoting specials, and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently.
- Support marketing efforts by encouraging customer feedback and optionally feauturing in social media posts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food premise and follow health food and safety regulations.
- Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or retail is beneficial but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for marketing activities such as product demos and promotions.
- Friendly demeanor with a passion for creating positive customer experiences.
- Food handler safety course required - Purple Scoops will pay for this if you do not already have this.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds to change out water bins.
