We are currently seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter who enjoys a wide variety of work and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship.

About the Role
As a Finish Carpenter, you will be an important member of OakWood's construction team, completing a variety of residential renovation projects throughout the Ottawa area. This role requires a well-rounded carpenter who is comfortable performing finish carpentry while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service.
Working alongside Project Managers, Designers, and trusted trade partners, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to OakWood's high standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete a variety of residential renovation work including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and custom homes
- Install interior and exterior doors, trim, mouldings, baseboards, and finish carpentry
- Install custom cabinetry, vanities, built-ins, and millwork
- Install floor and wall tile, including layout, waterproofing, preparation, and finishing
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Coordinate work with Project Managers and managers
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with Ontario Building Code
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Identify deficiencies and complete warranty or service work as required
- Communicate professionally with homeowners while maintaining OakWood's high customer service standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience
- Experience with residential renovations and occupied homes
- Strong finish carpentry skills
- Experience installing custom cabinetry and millwork
- Experience installing tile
- Knowledge of waterproofing systems and tile preparation
- Experience reading construction drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation

Compensation
$28.00–$34.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill set.
