Element5 is looking for a motivated Manufacturing Design Student to join our team for the Fall Term. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to a variety of projects that support the design, development, and manufacturing of mass timber construction solutions.

What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Designer Student, you’ll work alongside engineers and technicians on real-world challenges, including:
- Assisting with mechanical design using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Supporting preventative maintenance and production improvement initiatives
- Analyzing mechanical systems to improve efficiency and reliability
- Preparing technical documentation and reports
- Participating in troubleshooting and root cause investigations
- Collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related post-secondary program
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, drafting, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in both office and plant environments (PPE provided)
