We are looking for a Closing Kitchen Supervisor to join our BOH team!
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine and Kitchen Manager, the Closing Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for leading the kitchen during closing shifts while ensuring all dishes are prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently in a full-service restaurant environment. This position requires strong line experience, leadership abilities, and the confidence to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Making pizzas is a required and essential part of this position. Pizza preparation is a key part of our operation, and candidates must have hands-on experience stretching dough, building pizzas to house standards, and managing oven timing and execution to ensure consistent quality. The ideal candidate also has previous supervisory experience in a professional kitchen and will lead by example, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, support the team throughout service, and ensure all closing procedures and food safety standards are followed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and execute pizzas according to house standards, including stretching dough, building pizzas, managing oven timing, and ensuring consistent quality

Prepare pizza dough and complete all pizza-related prep tasks, including portioning dough, proofing, sauce and topping preparation, and maintaining pizza station readiness

Lead and support the kitchen team during closing shifts

Ensure all prep is completed for the following day

Prepare ingredients (chopping, peeling, cutting) and stock your station for service

Cook and plate dishes with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail, following the Chef de Cuisine’s recipes and presentation standards

Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation throughout service

Check the quality and freshness of all ingredients

Monitor stock levels and report shortages

Ensure proper closing procedures are followed (cleaning, labeling, storage, shutdown)

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment and utensils

Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safe guidelines
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a BOH Supervisor role

Proven experience making pizzas (dough stretching, topping balance, oven timing)

Food Handling and Health & Safety certification is an asset

Comfortable with cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing

Strong kitchen fundamentals, including knife skills and mise en place

Good understanding of portions and measurements

Ability to lead a team calmly and effectively during busy service
