Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Supervisor to lead our retail team and ensure the smooth operation of our store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service to enhance sales performance and store profitability.
Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and product placement to maximize sales potential
- Handle recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and staff development initiatives
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and oversee cashiering activities using POS systems
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing, and ensure proper stock rotation
- Implement marketing strategies to promote store promotions and special events
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and foster positive shopping experiences
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping tools
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and sales targets effectively
- Skilled in recruiting, training & development, and team management
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Sound knowledge of marketing tactics and promotional activities within retail environments
- Adept at cash handling, payroll processing, and administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
