This role supports the group actuarial and pricing team by developing tools, models, and pricing parameters, and by monitoring the profitability of group insurance products. The incumbent applies strong analytical skills, contributes to special projects involving predictive modeling, AI, and regulatory frameworks, and adapts to a continually evolving environment.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
Develop pricing tools, assumptions, and theoretical rates to support accurate group insurance pricing.
Analyze experience studies and perform profitability and sensitivity analyses.
Contribute to strategic projects, including predictive/AI model development and corporate projections.
Monitor product profitability and recommend improvements to ensure financial targets are met.
Provide technical and operational support, including reinsurance review, premium validation, industry surveys, and maintenance of pricing tools.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science (or equivalent) with 5-7 years of experience and AICA designation.
Advanced knowledge of group insurance products (life, disability, health, dental, critical illness) and applicable regulatory/capital rules.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with advanced Excel proficiency and experience with internal tools; Power BI is an asset.
Ability to learn, use, and develop in‑house software/tools; strong oral and written communication skills in French and English.
Autonomous, well‑organized, and effective team player in collaborative development projects.
