ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Innovative Access Inc.’s team is growing! We are seeking a dedicated team-oriented project manager with a strong work ethic, commitment to high-quality results, and excellent customer service skills to joint our team.
The position is based at our Ottawa Canotek industrial park location. The successful candidate will work directly with our engineering, design and installation teams as well as consultants, clients, developers and sub-contractors. Primary roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals.
- Lead projects to completion by managing the design team, equipment fabrication, supplies, installations, commissioning and close-outs.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure clients have a great experience working with our team.
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies on all projects.
- Monitor and enhance installation, fabrication and design productivity and quality.
- Responsible for Cost and schedule forecasting.
- Review work/contracts for areas of risk and correct deficiencies.
- Coordinate project invoicing and close out documentation.
- Retain and manage third party sub-contractors and engineers.
- Attend construction sites as required for meetings, visual reviews and reporting.
- Oversee and contribute to the design of equipment layouts, details, and product development.

- In-depth understanding of construction processes and methodologies.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Degree or diploma in either construction management, engineering, trade
qualification or equivalent field experience.
· 5-10 years experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
· Experience with project management software
(Monday.Com is considered an asset)
· Additional experience with swing stages, scaffolding, fall protection and governing CSA Standards is considered an asset.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Advance knowledge and understanding of:
- Steel fabrication.
- Bilingual, French/English considered asset.
- Must have valid driver’s G licence.
- Contract management.
- Management of project schedule and sequencing.
- Interpretation of plans & specifications.
- Good knowledge of construction regulations, standards and codes.
- Managing / leading staff.
- Organization and time management.
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor and Bluebeam Revu (Considered assets).
