Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 1st - Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial, commercial, and construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical knowledge, including low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation. Candidates with experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), NEC standards, and construction site work are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as renovations, new constructions, and upgrades, ensuring safety and compliance with all electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems following NEC standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment effectively
- Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes
- Perform wiring for renovations, construction projects, and upgrades on existing facilities
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects on time
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for quality assurance and compliance purposes
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with construction site background
- Strong knowledge of NEC electrical codes and safety standards
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Ability to read technical diagrams such as schematics for complex electrical systems
- Familiarity with renovation projects and construction site procedures
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Maintenance Person experience or frame carpentry skills are a plus for versatile project support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50-$52.70 per hour
