Job Summary
W B Melback Corporation is a Canadian-owned company providing Mechanical Maintenance and Industrial Construction services across North America.
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to lead our accounting operations and support financial performance in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Oversee job costing and project accounting
- Support project teams with accurate financial information
- Maintain accounting controls and improve processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accounting Controller or similar senior accounting role.
- 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
- Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or project-based industries preferred
- Strong proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation is preferred.
