Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Duties
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project requirements and ensure estimates align with project goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating activities for future reference and audits.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within commercial or heavy civil projects.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for markup and document management.
- Strong knowledge of construction pricing strategies and negotiation techniques.
- Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of project management principles related to construction projects.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to produce precise estimates.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Pay: $41,913.37-$114,771.15 per year
