Makki Law Professional Corporation has several litigation practice areas, including Commercial Litigation, Tax Litigation and SR&ED Litigation.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative and clerical support to lawyers and support staff. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Maintain safe and clean reception, kitchen and boardroom areas.
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for team members
- Assist with organizing meetings, conferences and special events
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Directing incoming and outgoing faxes to appropriate individuals
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Provide administrative support to various departments as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exemplary phone etiquette (professional and friendly demeanor)
- Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization skills, and keen attention to detail
- Diligence, commitment, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm
- Advanced technical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word Outlook and Adobe Pro
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting
- Willingness to work outside traditional working hours when required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Previous experience in a law firm or office setting is a plus
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to provide exceptional customer support
- Familiarity with front desk operations and handling inquiries from clients or customers
- Basic knowledge of clerical procedures and office management systems
- Previous experience in a law firm or office setting is a plus

Pay: $37,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
