What You'll Do
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in the daily operations of a busy transportation terminal by:
- Safely loading and unloading trailers and freight.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Completing daily equipment inspections and documenting findings.
- Inspecting freight for damage, proper packaging, and accurate labelling.
- Assisting with hand loading, load transfers, and load securement when required.
- Completing shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading dock.
- Reporting incidents, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
- Working closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of safe forklift operating experience
- Current Forklift Certification
- TDG Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures within a warehouse environment
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated
