Responsibilities:
Community pharmacists provide an increasing range of services and depending on your role and experience, you'll need to:
- Demonstrate the ability to process Retail prescriptions in a safe, accurate, efficient, and regulatory compliant manner while adhering to designed retail pharmacy workflows.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate with patients and other health care professionals regarding proper medication use, including but not limited to dose administration, therapeutic uses, side effects, drug and food interactions, and medication storage requirements.
- Delegate tasks to pharmacy staff and other support staff, as permitted by regulation and policy, while providing professional oversight.
- Determine the most efficient and cost-effective medications and alternatives, review inventory, place orders, and verify receipt of medications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure patients' confidentiality all the time.
- Counsel patients for any prescription or OTC medication.
- Deal with various insurance companies when required.
- Verify the compliance/blister packaging.
- Observe and dispense accurate methadone doses.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an OCP licensed Pharmacist preferred but not limited.
- Kroll software proficiency is a must.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Methadone experience would be an asset.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Experience in an independent Pharmacy is an asset but not a must.
Working hours:
This position is full-time available with alternate weekends or also part-time to start with.
Schedule & Team Support:
- Mandatory Alternate Weekends: This position requires working every other weekend. Please only apply if you are fully available to commit to this alternating weekend schedule.
- Weekday Support: During all weekday morning shifts, you will be working alongside a second pharmacist (the owner).
- Onsite Team: You will always be supported by our fully trained, experienced onsite pharmacy staff.
Wages per hour negotiable. The invoice option opens if incorporated.

Pay: $67.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
