Mazzad Development Inc. is a growing construction and development company involved in residential development projects throughout Ontario. We are seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join our team in-house and play a key role in planning, designing, and obtaining approvals for residential developments.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for both emerging and highly experienced architects. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and ability to contribute to project success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review architectural drawings, site plans, and development applications.
- Coordinate zoning reviews, minor variances, severances, and municipal approvals.
- Lead the design and planning process for residential developments.
- Work directly with municipalities, consultants, engineers, planners, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare permit and construction drawing packages.
- Interpret municipal zoning by-laws and planning policies.
- Attend meetings with clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, civil, and landscape consultants.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes and regulations.
- Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect and member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- Experience with residential development projects in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of zoning approvals, site plan approvals, and municipal development processes.
- Experience preparing permit and construction drawings.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar architectural software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with developers and residential builders.
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements.
- Experience with subdivision, infill, low-rise, or mid-rise residential projects.
- Established relationships with municipalities and approval authorities are considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
