Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced, professional, and guest-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team.
This role is much more than checking guests in and out. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, understands the importance of guest experience, and takes pride in creating welcoming, memorable stays for our guests.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, sales-minded, confident communicating with guests, and understands how to balance professionalism, efficiency, and warmth in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a friendly, welcoming, and professional check-in and check-out experience
- Interact confidently and positively with guests to help create memorable stays
- Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Support guest satisfaction goals through attentive service and effective problem resolution
- Answer reservation inquiries and enter reservations accurately into the PMS system
- Convert reservation calls into bookings through confident and professional sales communication
- Encourage guest participation in brand loyalty/member enrollment programs
- Support guest satisfaction survey participation and help drive positive guest feedback scores
- Promote repeat business by building positive guest relationships and encouraging direct future bookings
- Assist in converting OTA guests into returning direct-booking guests whenever possible
- Coordinate closely with housekeeping to ensure smooth room status communication and guest readiness
- Build positive working relationships with tour guides and group leaders during tour group arrivals and departures
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking hotel supplies when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby environment
- Report maintenance issues or operational concerns promptly to management
- Remain flexible and willing to assist in other operational areas when needed
- Complete clear and detailed shift handovers to ensure smooth operations between shifts
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast, and management teams
- Follow hotel procedures, operational standards, and brand expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous hotel front desk experience required
- Experience working with hotel PMS systems required
- Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Professional, polite, approachable, and solution-oriented
- Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with guest service goals, loyalty enrollments, and guest satisfaction targets
- Ability to confidently take reservation calls and sell rooms
- Strong teamwork mentality with willingness to support overall hotel operations
- Passion for hospitality, learning, and growth within the role
- Commitment to professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and respectful communication

- French speaking is an asset
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Gananoque, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Hotel front desk/guest services: 1 year (preferred)
