Millennium Building and Construction ( MBC) is looking for a skilled and dependable Framer / Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others and has the hands-on skills to get the job done safely, efficiently and correctly.
What You’ll Do
- Construct, erect, install and repair wood, plywood, wallboard and other structures and fixtures
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials including wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel
- Read and follow blueprints, building plans and project specifications
- Install windows, doors and structural fasteners
- Inspect existing structures for damage or wear and complete repairs or replacements
- Use a variety of power tools, hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Work collaboratively with the team to keep projects on schedule and to a high standard
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a framer or carpenter
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques, power tools and hand tools
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and project plans
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Welding and structural restoration experience is considered an asset
